Overview
Flux Player is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. Your media, your data, your control.
Data We Do Not Collect
Flux Player does not collect any of the following:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Viewing history or watch habits
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data
- Crash reports sent to us
Data Stored on Your Device
Flux Player stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Plex Authentication Token — Used to communicate with your Plex Media Server. This token is stored securely on your device and is only sent to Plex servers you connect to.
- IPTV Server Credentials — If you add IPTV sources, the server URL, username, and password are stored locally on your device to connect to your IPTV provider.
- App Settings & Preferences — Your configuration choices (subtitle preferences, playback settings, etc.) are stored locally using standard platform storage.
- Downloaded Media — Content you download for offline viewing is stored on your device. You can delete this at any time from within the app.
- Cached Data — API responses and images may be cached locally to improve performance. This cache can be cleared at any time.
Network Communication
Flux Player communicates with the following services:
- Plex.tv — For authentication (OAuth sign-in) and server discovery. This is governed by Plex's Privacy Policy.
- Your Plex Media Server(s) — To browse and stream your media library. Communication happens directly between your device and your server(s).
- Your IPTV Provider(s) — If configured, the app connects to your IPTV server(s) to retrieve channel listings and stream content.
- Watch Together Relay — If you use the Watch Together feature, playback sync messages are relayed through a WebSocket server. No media content passes through this relay — only playback state (play, pause, seek position).
Flux Player does not communicate with any analytics services, ad networks, or third-party tracking services.
Third-Party Services
Flux Player does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only third-party service interaction is with Plex.tv for authentication, which is essential for the app to function.
Children's Privacy
Flux Player does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app requires a Plex account to function, which is subject to Plex's own age requirements.
Data Security
Authentication tokens and credentials are stored using platform-provided secure storage mechanisms. All network communication with Plex servers uses HTTPS encryption.
Your Rights
Since we do not collect or store any of your data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to provide, modify, or delete. All data is stored locally on your device and can be removed by:
- Clearing the app's data in your device settings
- Deleting downloaded content within the app
- Uninstalling the app
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of Flux Player after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
